Maybe happiness, on some level, is just being able to accept a delusion. And we can't begrudge people for wanting to be happy. Maybe we can just close our eyes, take ourselves back to a happy memory, and pretend that we don't have to leave. Perhaps what's tough about being human is the certainty that we have to open our eyes at some point.
